While the chefs focus on their entries, team support members - aided by Alberta Student Team members like Connie DeSousa - prepare all the Team’s meals over the six days of the IKA competition.

While Culinary Team Alberta competed on the regional side of the IKA competition, Culinary Team Canada vied against chefs from other countries in the Restaurant of Nations category.

Culinary Team Alberta Coach Fred Zimmerman and Business Manager Simon Smotkowicz await their Team Canada-prepared Restaurant of Nations meals with Andy and Jean Ference. The Ferences purchased an Evening with the Masters auction item that included travelling with the Alberta team to the IKA 2004 World Culinary Olympics.
